Tunefish is a bite sized virtual analog synthesizer with a file size just under 10MB . Yup, you heard that right but it is still very capable at generating strong and crisp sounds. Developed by Braincontrol, this free VST plugin only has about 10kb of compressed machine code while still producing an audio quality that can compete with commercial synthesizers.
With support for up to any combination of 10 effects on a single sound and a wavetable that animates randomly with modulation, this is capable of creating a unique lively sound. It has a single wavetable which is generated using additive synthesis. The plugin is also equipped with a modulation matrix to control the LFOs and ADSR’s influence on any knob in the interface.
It is available as a VSTi2, VST3 and AU for MacOSX and on top of it all, it’s free.
